- '
- ' ' - Anything the the menu system does not understand will be ignored,
- ' but ' denotes a clear comment.
- ' %Heading for the heading of your menu selection for which help
- ' immediately follows. The %Heading should contain NO leading or
- ' trailing blanks, regardless of their presence in the .DEF file(s).
- '
- ' The format is simple: The heading for a help section is just exactly
- ' the title defined in PULLDWN.DEF, WITH % identifiers. Up to 50
- ' lines of help may be defined. PullDown expects to find the .HLP file
- ' (and the .CNF file) in the subdirectory PULLDWNx.EXE starts from.
- ' Use a ### on the LAST line of help to end the screen. Otherwise you
- ' will see extra lines of junk in your help box.
- ' *********************************************************************
- ' * USERS OF v2.17 or earlier take notice: Syntax for heading has *
- ' * been changed to ensure unique matches are easily used and located!*
- ' * Place a % symbol before all of your old headings to upgrade!! *

- ' APPLICATIONS
-
- %Quattro/Pro
- Quattro/Pro is the new spreadsheet from Borland International. It
- is a serious competitor to 1-2-3 and contains a menu tree to make
- it keystroke compatible with 1-2-3. Finanicial Analysts, who use
- spreadsheets for a living, are starting to adopt Quattro as the
- new standard. As you can see, the HELP SUBSYSTEM available with
- PullDown v2.30 is indeed powerful and flexible. Up to 50 lines of
- help can be maintained for each and every selection within the
- system, and can be defined to be called with a special command
- within any option, at any time. (See ADVANCED.DEF)

- menu for them. Norton Commander is a fine

- ###
-
- %Undelete
- You can attempt this option if you have
- deleted a file accidentally. Usually you
- will want to try this option RIGHT AWAY
- when you realize you have made an error,

- overwrite portions of the deleted file.
- ###
-
- %Format a Disk
- Prompts you for a disk to format.
- ###
-
- %XCONFIG
- Centralized menu shell allowing multiple boot configurations
- to be swapped with ease. Supports command line operation, and

- ###
-
- %Disk Optimizer
- DOS typcially fragments the files it writes to disk over
- time. An optimizer simply puts the files in one long
- chain instead of spread all over the disk or diskette.
- ###
-

- Using the FREE utility VFILE.EXE, included
- with PullDown, you can quickly browse any

- ShareWare, meaning you cannot use it
- indefinitely for free.

- %Edit PULLDWN.HLP
- The .HLP file follows closely with the .DEF file. It is

- a simple sequence of '###'. It is one of the finest features
